it's vit-pack time again, and this week's member likes to get straight to the point. say hello to miss essential, who is essentially orange! hailing from norwich, she was snapped up by an up-and-coming designer to model katy perry's (orange) dress for 'alternative fashion week', and is now the face of glacéau vitaminwater essential.

miss essential literally lives her life in orange, even passing her time in the orange store. a perky go-getter, she is not personally orange, but is vibrant, a bit fruity and very cool.

is the diary looking depressingly empty this weekend?

well, we've managed to bag a pair of weekend camping tickets to offset festival and we're kindly offering them up to one of you for the taking! located on the outskirts of the capital at hainault forest, offset festival has been hailed as the 'coolest festival' this summer and has previously seen the likes of the horrors, the xx, and bombay bicycle club grace its stage.

this year, they're playing host to headliners such as mystery jets, caribou, and these new puritans; as well as other great acts such as egyptian hip hop, mount kimbie, and lovvers. to be in with a chance of getting your grubby mitts on them, check out below.

the competition is open to all our twitter followers (you can follow us here!). for a chance of winning, send us a tweet saying which vitaminwater flavour you would take to the festival and why - followed by the hashtag #offset

for example:
@vitaminwater_uk i would take revive so i can make it through the two days on top form! #offset

the most original tweet nabs the tickets, simple as that!

the tickets won't be around for long, so you have until 6pm today to enter! don't forget to check out the t&c's as well. good luck!

ah, tis a good day to be beside the seaside. sun, sea, sand - can't get any better right?

well, the guys at improv everywhere seem to agree, as this week they decided to dress up rather than dress down for the occasion. choosing to trade in their swimsuits for their sunday best, several hundred 'agents' descended on coney island each adhering to a strict black tie dress code. however, not ones to resist the allure of the ocean, their somewhat unconventional beachwear didn't stop them from making the most of their seaside frolics.

check out their antics in the video above!

two of the big festival greats, leeds and reading festival, passed again this weekend for another year - and today we present to you one of the awesome bands that graced the limelight. hailing from manchester, everything everything are four lads pitted to be one of the biggest acts of 2010. they've been doing the festival rounds, including the great escape in brighton, notorious for picking the cream of the indie crop. make sure you have ample dancing space for their track 'schoolin' above. enjoy!

mr_power_c.jpg
it's now the time for the fifth member of the vit-pack to make an entrance, sports fanatic mr power-c!

he lives, eats and breathes football and basketball! after a stint at university studying sports, mr power-c makes sure he doesn't waste a moment, and can be found maintaining his form at the gym, modelling at the abercrombie & fitch store on saville row or playing football in south east london with his buddies.

as the face of power-c, he certainly lives up to his name, and seizes every opportunity to maximise his game...

it's that great time of the year again where we actually look forward to the saturday night in. yes, the great british institution - the x-factor, kicked off again this week in style. in true x-factor style, we were treated to a monster of a show with more than it's fair share of "interesting" acts.

our pick of the bunch has to be shirlena johnson, who faced the judges with a somewhat eclectic rendition of duffy's mercy, which at first caught us a bit off guard - although now we can't get enough! not sure how many of you would agree though, even if we've placed our bets on her becoming this year's jedward! we've included shirlena's audition above for your viewing and listening pleasure, you can thank us later...

major trend alert!.... the aviator... the shearling jacket call it what you will! they are flooding on to the highstreet as we speak! burberry, asos, topshop everyone has a version.

it is a must have for autumn/winter 2010! shearling is not only going to be big in coats but also in boots next season, how cosy!

what do you think?

do you still have the post weekend blues? well after the battering we've all just taken from the weather, it's not surprising. don't fret though, we're bringing you a cracking spirit lifter that answers to the name of alex metric. not quite ringing any bells? he's a dj musician producer extraordinaire who's responsible for placing his pop tinged electronic stamp on tracks from the likes of reverend & the makers, la roux, phoenix, and gorillaz; as well as dabbling in his own original material with the 'deadly on a mission ep'. he's been a great antidote to our dampened mood, and we're sure he'll have the same effect on you! make sure you also keep up with his musical happenings on his twitter.

so now for the exciting stuff! if you fancy throwing a few shapes courtesy of mr metric, he'll be playing at this weekend's creamfields festival. but it's sold out we hear you cry! well dry your eyes, because we've secretly stashed a couple of tickets up our sleeve and now they're yours for the taking.

how to get involved:

the competition is open to all our twitter followers, (you can follow us here). to enter the competition for festival tickets to creamfields all you have to do is tweet this:

i want some sold out tickets to #creamfields courtesy of @vitaminwater_uk! for your chance go to http://gvwurl.com/creamfields

before we go, don't forget to check out the t&c's and that said, we wish you good luck!

ps. the competition is short and sweet and ends tomorrow, so get in quick!

ladies and gents, the wait is over. it's that time again where we give some love to one of the cracking blogs under our trusty radar. this week it's hi fashion's turn, written by native londoner sherin about her love for fashion and music!

hate the hefty price tag of high end fashion? well sherin might just be your fashion saviour. we were blown over by her impressive knack for picking the cream of affordable fashion, and she effortlessly proves that anyone can have great style at any budget.

you should definitely check out project take10, where sherin and 9 other bloggers take up the challenge of styling an item based around their personal tastes, and lace dress and crazy heels, because we think she looks fantastic!

if you're on twitter, make sure you follow her too!

have a great weekend everyone!

carly_miss_xxx.jpglast week, we brought you a rocker, now we're bring you a mover! yes, up next to grace the limelight, we have miss xxx.

putting the mad in madchester, she is an all singing all dancing, well - dancer. her favourite music includes stone roses and oasis, and when she is not hitting sankey's up in manchester, she is out in ibiza, considering herself somewhat of a baleric veteran.

if she looks a bit familiar, it may be because she can be found in music videos from mika, ian brown and goldfrapp, playing everything from an abstract leopard to a vampire seductress. her latest starring role is as the face of the naughty but very nice xxx - triple berry. watch out for her all over some of the uks most iconic billboard sites, tube stations and pretty much everywhere else.
