imagine this. on the outside of your house. chav – house – chav – house -chavhouse!
welcome to the house of burb, a not so stylish take on the classic plaid. but do not fear, burberry has definitely moved away from this image and are at the forefront of british fashion these days. we’ll call this a renaissance period ![]()

bowzers batman, did you just see that?! this makes we want to sing a pun in the form of a football chant; “pier we go, pier we go, pier we go!”
whoosh!
ooh la la, england’s very own estelle has come a long way since her days on the uk hip hop scene with tracks like ‘domestic science‘ and most notably blak twang’s ‘trixstar‘ (which we still love!). She definitely deserves her recent success and we love her even more now. why? well 1:10 into the video the guy picks out a bottle of naughty XXX vitamin water only for estelle to show him the iconic love hand gesture. i guess he must have made the right choice ![]()
‘one love‘ has all the ingredients to be another smash hit and we wish estelle and david guetta all the best of luck!

every wednesday we try to bring you some awesome remixes of tunes that are racing up the charts. easier said than done
this is really difficult so consider this the last wednesday chart-c[hart] featuring tracks currently in the charts. as of next week i’ll be bringing you the top5 tracks of the week regardless of whether they’ve even seen a chart! Expect big things. we’re dedicated to help you ride out the midweek slump in true dailyvitamins style!
- britney spears – 3 (the knocks remix)
- sugababes – about a girl (k-gee remix)
- steve clisby & chew fu – purple rain (prince cover)
- chuckie – let the bass kick (joachim remix)
and of course leona lewis is back in the charts with new tune ‘happy‘. unfortunately there are no decent remixes to share so thought we’d hit you up with a ‘forgive me’ bassline remix courtesy of tremorefire.
looking forward to next week?

what is it with stoomtrooper toys? it’s one of those meme’s that doesn’t really make sense but is still quite funny. this should have really gone into yesterday’s posts for music monday but we like to spread it out a bit and had too much good music to share. let us know what you think… did this make you rofl? and if you have an awesome starwars-like-picture you think we should see then drop a link in the comments section.
check stfan’s flickr for more of these great images.
we heard about this new website that’s a bit like dailyvitamins called twitter (we joke) and they have something very similar to ‘the monday revival‘ called ‘#musicmondays‘ and we thought we’d join in (no beef). our contribution comes in the from of jakwob. Boy oh boy is it a contribution because this UK producer makes some mighty fine dubstep that we think is pretty damn accessible and more often than not – beautiful! Not a word often associated with dubstep but we mean it 4real haha.
long live #musicmonday, long live jakwob, long live new music
woah, what a windy weekend! hopefully you’ve all dried off by now? if you’re still feeling a little damp then we just turning this up and shaking yourself clean like a dirty dog. For those of you who made it into work looking as dry as a fisherman’s friend on the tip of a camel’s tongue then we suggest you put your headphones in and jig around at your desk ![]()
Now, the video above is by a group called ‘just a band‘ – a kenyan somewhat-experimental, diy, kora and kisima award nominated geeky boy band who make their own music videos. pretty obscure right? but definitely catchy as. And funnily enough we’ve also been listening to some other producers of the same name….
you’ve probably not heard of the french bordeaux boys ‘just a band‘ just yet either and really there’s no reason why, especially since the re-mingled la roux‘s bulletproof in bass heavy style! keep the fire burning right here
my advice, listen to bands with the same name! hmmm… i feel a new blog post coming on….
let us know if these tracks helped you brave the day…

so, if you’re a regular frequenter of dailyvitamins then you might have noticed our little post this morning featuring a bit of jayou. well, we were so impressed we thought there would be no better to round of the weeks proceedings than by featuring this mix! things get kick started with a pon de floor remix which sees the major lazer track whipped up into a frenzy before being slung into the classic garage anthem of r.i.p groove and the damage doesn’t end there! (watch out for the super sharp shooter style ‘the j, the u’)
we’re seeing a lot of versatility here, in fact we haven’t been this impressed since fake blood first slashed onto the scene with his black ghosts remix. either way watch this space and let the mix kick start your weekend in style! and try to not wear the mp3 out with copious rewinds ![]()
download the mix for free here. massive thanks to jayou for uploading the mix to soundcloud!!!
