if you like your blip blopping, head rocking, hip hopping, glitchy beats, then this 50 minute mix from the overly talented french beat maker, fulgeance, is something that you simply have to listen to. published on nutriot last week, this bad boy of a mix features some amazing artists such as mike slott, dorian concept, architeq, 1000names and flako, not to mention the killer tune that will make you nod your head so hard you might even lose it. (be careful…)

happy christmas! came across this horrible (yet wonderful) christmas song by cyndi lauper that i just had to share with you all. have no fear, i’ll keep this post short and sweet so you can go back and enjoy all the food and the presents, all i have to say is: “bonga bonga bonga – do the christmas conga!” ;)

Tome – Laid Back Christmas by Laid Back on Mixcloud

why not continue with the christmas theme (seeing as there’s only two days to go – yaay!) and indulge in this yummy christmas mix freshly cooked up by tome for the belgian radio show and website laid back. i think i’ve listened to it 4 times already, and it just keeps getting better every time. it has the perfect blend of all the christmas classics we know, combined with some jazzy flavours and soulful sounds. enjoy!

it’s official – the countdown has well and truly started and there’s not many days left until the holiday season kicks in for real. excitement levels are rising (to say the least!), and if you haven’t done your christmas shopping yet, the time to panic would be right about…now. however, if you have been brave enough to face the madness that goes on in all the shops around this time of year, you cannot have missed the amount of cheesy christmas music that is being played on heavy rotation pretty much everywhere you go. not that there is anything wrong with some good ol’ cheesy christmas songs, after all, they are meant to put us all in a jolly good mood. but one song that you probably haven’t heard being played (and really should have a listen to) is this straight down soulful christmas song by sharon jones and the dap kings.
you heard it here!

a little silliness has never hurt anybody, but when you combine it with talent and an amazing personality, you can achieve greatness. so it is with great excitement and pleasure that we here at dailyvitamins.com present fatima. she is a soulful songstress hailing from the dark and cold woods of sweden, and who has taken the music world by storm with her captivating personality and heart-warming sounds. having worked with the likes of shafiq husayn, been featured on the legendary gilles peterson???s radio show, and even getting shout outs from the top dog himself, snoop dogg, this queen from the north is definitely a cool chick with sparks flying everywhere.

girls aloud sang about the sounds of the underground before they went on to conquer the world and became one of today’s biggest girl groups. we here at dailyvitamins.com are digging deep to find the hidden sounds of the uk underground scene, to bring you the freshest beats from passionate individuals who juggle day jobs with an unquashable desire for making music. In fact, this time we dug so deep that not even our big torches and lamps could light up our way. luckily, whilst being lost amongst wild creatures far below the earths surface, we stumbled upon the burntprogress christmas party: one of this years biggest underground parties that will feature the creme de la creme of the uk’s beat and electro scene taking place on saturday.
check out five of the talented peeps that will be performing at the party and let us know what you think (go on you know you want to):

so far we’re managing to hold ourselves back from raiding oki-ni and buying up all the size 11′s! (but only just)

i know i know, more jam. but this jam is cool also. it’s a quirky cover of technotronic‘s amazing ‘pump up the jam‘. what better way to fillet the mid-week than with some inspired prime cuts. here is what we think will really rock your butterscotch cotton socks:

  1. grizzly bear – cherrleader (neon indian studio 6669 remix)
  2. we have band – honey trap (le matos remix)
  3. don diablo – i am not from france (linus loves remix)
  4. dj fresh – hypercaine (nero dubstep remix)
  5. 16 bit – funhouse [[recommended]]

there’s a gradient there from light to dark. no.1 being well done all the way to 5. which is served bloody. nom nom nom. let us know which of these tunes is rocking your world and leave us a comment. especially if you have any suggestions of tunes we’ve missed and should add.
