meet mark Jenkins, a london based freelancer working in digital;  web design (the lucky strike) alongside being an avid blogger, t-shirt, nightlife and internet addict. he runs a small blog network covering music (fried my little brain), fashion (fat seagull) and street art (uk street art) with his colleague, james. he's also a director in a new internet startup for the education sector called trashed phew, that's all.

1. what's your nickname; after all, we're all friends here? jenkwee. i don't actually know why, but my canadian friends named me that. they're a funny bunch...

2. now we're bezzie mates, tell us something exclusive about yourself that most people don't know. i look at the clock at 11.11 every day. be it in the morning or evening. something, one day, may happen at this time, but for now it's just a bit strange.

3. who was the last person to send you a text/tweet/any other form of digital contact?  and what we really wanna know is... what did it say? the last person to send me a tweet was my colleague and good friend, james cooke. we secured a new client yesterday and even though we sit in the same office, it's not unheard of us to communicate via twitter. the tweet was all about celebrating the new client, in the form of pub, football, party no.1, party no.2 and party no.3 on friday night. we expect stories will emerge this week.

4. ok, let's get down to it... what piece of art are you working on right now? we're currently working on a brand new site for chew the fat, built in wordpress 3 with all manner of customisations, doing all things digital for the nike78 project in the build up for it's exhibition at the london design festival in september and documenting our favourite animated gifs. jenkwee. i'm also one of the founders of a start-up called trashed. we're putting teenagers in direct contact with creative professionals through live workshops, bespoke sessions and an online platform. you can read all about it on the trashed site (excuse the plug!)

5. were you a child prodigy like picasso or when did you first discover your creative talents? no, i wasn't... i didn't enjoy school that much, i mean, i could do the work, but was more interested in drawing and painting. i studied illustration at university but now i'm all about all things digital: web design and development, social media and the online side of things. i guess you could say that i first discovered my creative talents when i left school to study graphics at college and getting good marks meant i wanted to continue with this further.

6. are there any secrets in how you work? (not that any of us will know what to do with your secrets!) 100010101010101010101010101000001111100000. that's it. no, not really - we don't have any secrets, infact we like sharing a lot of information and helping others out in our creative network.

7.  if you had to spend the rest of your days dressed surrounded by the work of one artist, what artist would you choose? basquiat.

8. if you could work with anyone who would it be and why? futura2000. i've always admired his work and involvement with brands but he's pretty much retained his trademark style and still continues to push on to this day

9. i know it's early days, but when you do eventually give up the game, what are you going to do in retirement? or are you going to be the new nick knight / picasso? i think in the current climate i'm going to be working till i am 70. by that time, i'll probably need 10 screens to keep up with everything that's happening, but i'll have someone else do that for me as i won't actually be able to move. i have trouble keeping up with everything now, like most do

10. who in your mind is the hottest talent that we should know about? this is a tough one. but, you know what, i'm going to plug my brother here. he's just finished uni and is the creative mind and driving force behind the nike78 project (see above). it's already received some great coverage on creative review, hypebeast, slamxhype etc and he's continuing to push it forward for the exhibition in september

11. and finally, what are your "famous last words"? one more drink, please?
