marian brings us her top predictions from lfw…

“hey guys,

so 3 things that i am loving at london fashion week:

- it is a sheer revolution i have spotted this trend both on spring summer 2011 catwalks and on people attending the shows.

- jelly is the new cupcake: it is all about jelly this season. at both the tatanaka show and at the adam entwisle pre show event, jelly was on offer to nibble on. i wonder what a defence flavoured vitamin water jelly would taste like?

- mark fast spring summer 2011: i love mark fast’s knit dresses. i also love unapologetic bolts of colour. fuse those two loves together and hey presto it is a spring summer 2011 match made in heaven! you can see a photo from the show above!

what do you guys think? what has been a standout for you this london fashion week?

till next time, marian x”

heres the next installment from our fashionista mate jodie harsh, as she fills us in on the highlights from day three of london fashion week…

“day three of fashion week began on a high with the unforgettable unconditional show. set in the old sorting office in new oxford street, the location could not have been any better for this show. the garments were beautiful, romantic, and wearable with unconditional’s draped style recurrent throughout the show.

the front row contained a big mix of photographers, fashionistas and celebrities such as janice dickinson, pete burns and mr hudson. i put together the music for this show – mixing simian mobile disco and chemical brothers among other banging tunes. i opened the show with the american beauty theme written by thomas newman.

after the unconditional show it was time for me to head home and detoxify in preparation for a busy afternoon, evening and night.

the pam hogg show which followed has had a huge buzz about it throughout fashion week, with great things expected from this designer. modelled by daisy lowe and a nearly naked alice delal, the clothes included equestrian, bondage and even household objects used as fashion pieces.

the front row included jaime winstone and an eclectic mix of london club faces. the show itself was a work of pure theatre, with the hottest models in town walking down the catwalk.

after this it was time for the on|off and notion lfw parties on the 32nd floor of centre point. among loads of people from the pam hogg show were other familiar faces in fashion including editors and models.

performing at this party was jesse jay, who produced an incredible set – with her r’n'b pop sound fused with a more house and electro vibe – look out for her – future superstar! she fitted in perfectly amongst a very impressed crowd. circus followed immediately after this, and as usual, it was a party never to forget. the young hipster set such as pixie geldof and nick grimshaw popped in to say hello, dancing amongst our usual eclectic crowd. i was dressed in a royal blue swarovski encrusted tracksuit by jeremy scott for adidas and hit the decks before the ghetto-tastic miss dynamite took to the stage. this was the mental part of the night – when ‘wile out’ came on it felt like we were in a warehouse rave but 31 floors above the streets of london at paramount club!

gold is my colour of the day, season…in fact it’s my favourite colour ever! those pam hogg shows blew me away – definitely bang on for next season. till next time… jodie”

the first few days of london fashion week has seen our fair share of blistered feet, celeb spotting, and disco napping around vitaminwater hq. it’s been hectic, to say the least. and now that we’re half way through lfw, we’re sure a few of you might be in need of a revival too!

we’ve got a cracker of a mix in store for you guys from our very own front row fixture – fashionista/dj extraordinaire, jodie harsh! guaranteed to give you a much needed lift, jodie has laid down some funky beats in her signature style, and makes it very hard to resist the urge to boogie (or strut)! either way, this mix is essential listening for fashion week!

that’s all for now folks, be sure to stay tuned for more fashion week goodness…

our first post from star blogger jodie harsh giving us the insider update from the first 2 days of london fashion week…

“here we are again! the curtains have been drawn on a new week of madness and insanity amongst the most creative and beautiful in london. having just jetted in from new york i was immediately rushed to my first show of the week: sass and bide. we were sat in the most incredible white room in the royal opera house, adorned with an enormous paper lantern illuminating the show.

i loved the clothes – especially the use of metallic and solid fabric effects. sass and bide have also mastered their use of feathers and prints. i was loving the textures that these effects were creating throughout this show and could really see these clothes on a sophisticated and chic french woman. i was sat amongst names such as destiny’s child’s michelle and the beautiful jamelia in the front row alongside a host of other taste-makers. oh, and danny cipriani – hotty! he was there with amy sacco from bungalow 8 who i love.

next for me was the ppq show – the front row was majorly colourful with guests such as paloma faith, amber rose, shingai from the noisettes and randomly, brigitte nielsen. i absolutely loved this show, especially the use of shine fabrics and bright, rich colours. my colour moment definitely has to be burned orange based on the beautiful cutout ppq dress that blew me away down the catwalk.

after the wonders of the ppq show, i was once again whisked off to dj at jean-pierre braganza’s after party. the venue was alto near carnaby street – absolutely adored this underground venue and found it perfect for the event. the crowd was cool and hipster, and i was surrounded by models and characters adorned with the latest trends. shingai from the noisettes, who seemed to be following me around london, was djing after me… i really enjoyed her set and it was great to see jean-pierre let his hair down after the show.

early night for me – i’m back into fashion on monday so you will hear all the front row news and gossip from me throughout the week. xx”

dean piper updates us with the with the rundown straight from the runway…

“now, not everything in life can be a-list central when it comes to london fashion week. and it’s often more fun if it isn’t! i swung by the fabulous look magazine fashion show yesterday and managed to catch up with some of my favourite celebrities on the front row.

martine mccutcheon wore a chanel inspired blouse and nattered about how she’s rejuvenating her music career next year, diana vickers sported some big hair and performed a medley of tracks at the official after party and former x factor winner shayne ward was looking trim and ready to hit the comeback trail with a brand new album!

outfit wise there were two people that stood out. preeya kalidas wore a fur
style russian hat and danielle linekar managed to get away with a pair of crisp red leather trousers. that woman could seriously rock any outfit. but
i doubt anybody else could get away with that look!

next stop for my evening was to hook up with my old mucker grace woodward
and watch richard sorger show. elle macpherson looked smoking hot sitting
front row at this event. i swear no matter how many times i see elle i’m
always stunned by her beauty. but the real fun guest was kanye west’s
former squeeze amber rose. that woman is truly extraordinary in real life.
as near to a grace jones replacement as we have got of late. she’s
literally ferocious to look at!

my final stop of the evening was to see the ppq show – my friend amy
molyneaux is one half of the ppq design duo so it’s always a pleasure to
see her show.
and it was a celeb packed crowd. the telegraph’s fashion guru hilary
alexander sat nattering opposite me to sly stallone’s former squeeze
brigette nielson. now there is one blonde that can work it for a camera -
and she looks sensational in real life. she kept on heckling the runway
models every time a dress she loved trotted past her. “oh,
 fabbbuuuuuuullllous,” she kept squealing loudly!

my vitaminwater blog buddy jodie harsh sat front row with henry conway
checking out the range and just to my right paloma faith wore a typically
bonkers outfit.
but the big drama was the surprise “guest”. rumour has it johnny depp
called organisers and said he wished to attend with his pirates co-star
penelope cruz. after the brand held the start of the show they eventually
admitted defeat and continued without mr depp in the picture.

the fab thing about this years ppq collection is the injection of colour.
bright colours, pyjama blue stripes, gorgeous multi-coloured aztec prints
and heels high enough to topple even the most elegant of catwalk models, it
 was a show to remember.

the party kicked off in a huge space in the basement of the swish new park
plaza westminster bridge hotel. amber le bon was mingling and told me she’s
thrilled to be back home for lfw. amber told me: “i’ve been living in hong
kong for a long time now. so it feels great to be back and seeing my
family. i’m actually walking in a few shows too – i’m doing topshop this
week which should be brilliant.”
amber’s one of the girls i have so much time for in this industry. she
doesn’t drink or party at all and even confessed to having zilch make-up
on. it’s enough to make a fashion fairy shrivel up and die.

the party got into full swing when mercury music prize winning band the xx
took to the stage. serious guestlist, serious after party and a blooming
serious fashion brand. ppq, i yet again salute you.
