heres the next installment from our fashionista mate jodie harsh, as she fills us in on the highlights from day three of london fashion week…
“day three of fashion week began on a high with the unforgettable unconditional show. set in the old sorting office in new oxford street, the location could not have been any better for this show. the garments were beautiful, romantic, and wearable with unconditional’s draped style recurrent throughout the show.
the front row contained a big mix of photographers, fashionistas and celebrities such as janice dickinson, pete burns and mr hudson. i put together the music for this show – mixing simian mobile disco and chemical brothers among other banging tunes. i opened the show with the american beauty theme written by thomas newman.
after the unconditional show it was time for me to head home and detoxify in preparation for a busy afternoon, evening and night.
the pam hogg show which followed has had a huge buzz about it throughout fashion week, with great things expected from this designer. modelled by daisy lowe and a nearly naked alice delal, the clothes included equestrian, bondage and even household objects used as fashion pieces.
the front row included jaime winstone and an eclectic mix of london club faces. the show itself was a work of pure theatre, with the hottest models in town walking down the catwalk.
after this it was time for the on|off and notion lfw parties on the 32nd floor of centre point. among loads of people from the pam hogg show were other familiar faces in fashion including editors and models.
performing at this party was jesse jay, who produced an incredible set – with her r’n'b pop sound fused with a more house and electro vibe – look out for her – future superstar! she fitted in perfectly amongst a very impressed crowd. circus followed immediately after this, and as usual, it was a party never to forget. the young hipster set such as pixie geldof and nick grimshaw popped in to say hello, dancing amongst our usual eclectic crowd. i was dressed in a royal blue swarovski encrusted tracksuit by jeremy scott for adidas and hit the decks before the ghetto-tastic miss dynamite took to the stage. this was the mental part of the night – when ‘wile out’ came on it felt like we were in a warehouse rave but 31 floors above the streets of london at paramount club!
gold is my colour of the day, season…in fact it’s my favourite colour ever! those pam hogg shows blew me away – definitely bang on for next season. till next time… jodie”
