one garden was decorated with £20 million worth of diamonds, aptly named “ace of diamonds garden”. it will not have the jewels on display when the public are allowed in on friday, amid security concerns.
after the release of his much anticipated movie, banksy is total hot property right now! it’s nearly impossible to get your hands on a print…well, unless you are a thief, they have been making off with pieces left, right and centre!
the same art dealer was also the subject of theft in their brighton store back in 2007, where thieves made off with a total of 9 framed prints in two robberies over a 4 day period.
i think we can all agree that the lesson here is – get your hands on a banksy now, before thieves steal them all!
it feels like this movie has taken about 10 years to grace the screen! with cast changes, location fails and who knows what else, we started to doubt if it would ever be seen. but, here it is, finally, the trailer for the new film.
russel crowe plays a bad boy who is really a good guy at heart, although that could apply to any movie he has ever been in. okay, he plays a character who has to overcome evil rulers, and win the girl. oh wait, wasn’t that gladiator? okay, enough joking! this film does team up gladiator duo russel and ridley, so comparisons were bound to happen. another big name is that of cate blanchett, who we love!
we have seen the trailer, and cant say we are blown away…although we will see when the film is released on friday. they have even managed to get it as the opening film at cannes, so it cant be too bad, right?
so we know glee is not for everyone, but we know that those who love it, really really love it. so when the madonna episode aired this week loads of people were really excited about it.
just to clear things up, the episode didn’t actually feature madonna, rather a selection of some of her biggest hits sung by the cast. if you didn’t get a chance to see the episode, watch the video!
a few
weeks ago a friend suggested that i sign up to take part in ‘ellie
runs’.
so i signed up, a link was posted on my facebook page. it was only when another
friend asked me what it was that i looked into it further!
‘ellie runs’ is a run ellie goulding did on
the day of each of her performances in 7 cities on her recent uk tour
(birmingham, liverpool, manchester, leeds, newcastle, glasgow, london). what
made this different from just another pre-gig workout, was that 10 lucky fans were selected to run along
with her.
you
have probably guessed by now that i was one of the 10 people randomly chosen
for the london run. we did a 5k run around the
south bank in london and as you can see in the above video it was a whole lot of fun!
it was
a really cool and unique way for ellie
to meet with fans while she is on a busy touring schedule. you can see all

1. what’s your
nickname, after all, we’re all friends here? i get g money a lot from close
friends or randoms. anthony gets called ant, i call nick (my brother) nico
haha, and zovath gets zovie. or the infamous “danng” from first
glance.
2. now we’re bezzie
mates, tell us something exclusively about yourself that most people don’t
know. i love to surf, although most people wouldn’t
know.. and the beach is my favorite place to be.
3. what question are
you sick of being asked and why? i’m not really sick of any
questions in particular, i just don’t like being asked too many haha. i guess
“how tall are you”? is one that will never go away, considering i’m
6’5″.
4. in which can you
tell us about a time when an interview has gone badly? so far so good!
we love doing interviews.. its something that shouldn’t be taken for granted,
and wouldn’t jeopardize the outcome.
5. most of us like to
not be nude in public, so what’s your favourite brand/designer for covering
yourself in? (and have you ever been nude in public?) my favs are zara
and american apparel, but i love finding new designers and clothes that i’ve
never seen before.
6. if you could work
with anyone who would it be and why? i would love to do a record with greg archilla, and write & record percussion with paul mccartney.
7. we all like to know
our stuff, if you could be a connoisseur/guru/demi-god of something what would
it be? i’m working every day to be a better drummer, to
reach levels i never thought i could. its my favorite thing to do in the world,
so i would love to reach “dem-god” status drumming haha.
8. i know it’s early
days, but when you do eventually give up the game, what are you going to do in
retirement? or are you going to be the new rolling stones?
we will play music forever, until we physically can’t anymore. its really a
shared passion, and i can see us doing this as dang, and many other musical
projects.
9. who in your mind is
the hottest talent that we should know about? the hottest talent.. i’d say is a
band by the name of third eye blind. or megan fox. for different types of
talent of course haha.

so, we all thought gaga was going a bit gaga when she mentioned she would like to perform with susan boyle, but it seems it may actually happen!
bogaga (catchy right?) is now no longer a twinkle in a record execs eye, but a serious possibility. how did this come about? well…gaga mentioned that she would like to perform with miss boyle, and boyle came back this week saying she would love to do it.
well, whatever the result of this unlikely union, we are going to be watching with interest! (as long as they dont put susan in a skimpy number for the video!)
did you hear that they are re-recording the famous euro ’96 football anthem, ‘three lions’? you know, the one by the lightening seeds, david baddiel and frank skinner? ’thirty years of hurt’ and all that? well, this being a world cup year, which is being held in south africa this summer (don’t know why, but i felt it was needed to point that out!), and with england being one of the favourites, it seems like the ideal time to re-release the track.
anyway, in case i am losing your interest here, the juicy bit comes with who is going to sing lead vocals – “it’s coming home, it’s coming home, it’s coming, football’s coming home” – this time round! those mentioned by baddiel include “english eccentrics” amy whinehouse, lily allen and paul ‘gazza’ gascoigne. the latest on the rumour circuit is that russell brand is going to lend his voice for the track.
if this track is going to be played all summer long, until the team come home, then might it be better if the best voice gets the nod, and the eccentrics are saved for cameo video appearances!?
